Your Stay

Connected

WiFi

Connect to the Flagship network. It is building-wide, so there is no in-unit router. A sign-in page offers a free tier and a paid premium tier; free is plenty for streaming and browsing. Details are also posted in the kitchen.

Step one: open your WiFi settings and join Flagship_wifi. The sign-in page cannot load until you are on that network.

TV freezing or stuck loading

If the TV connection freezes or stops, wait a moment first and give it a chance to reconnect on its own.

If that does not work, do not exit the streaming app. Instead turn the TV off, then turn it back on, and do not immediately open any app. Let the TV reset its connection on its own. Once you see normal TV programming start playing automatically, the TV is properly connected and you can go back to whatever streaming service you were using.

This one is genuinely out of our control. The TV runs on the building WiFi, which cycles through devices and drops the TV every so often.

Towels, linen, and beach gear

Towels never go to the beach or pool

Unit towels stay indoors. They may not go to the beach and they may not go to the pool.

The pool has its own towels, and you are welcome to bring those back up to the room. Room towels simply cannot make the trip in the other direction. Towels that go missing or come back full of sand are charged at $25 each.

Beach gear: rinse before it comes back in

You are welcome to use the beach gear provided in the unit. Please clean it off thoroughly before returning it inside.

Cleaning beach gear is not part of the cleaning fee, so gear that comes back caked in sand creates work nobody has budgeted for.

How linen is allocated

The towels and wash rags in the bathroom and on the bed are set out based on the number of guests recorded on your reservation. Additional towels or wash rags may come at an additional cost.

You may also find linen stored in the unit. That linen is pre-prepped for the next guest so our turnovers run efficiently. Using it without approval may carry a cost, and more importantly it leaves us short for the guests arriving after you. If you need more, just ask and we will sort it out.

In the unit

Sliding balcony door

The sliding door is really heavy. It is usually not a case of it being locked, it is just heavy to open. It is meant to be opened by adults, not by children.

Pull-out couch and extra bedding

The couch is a pull-out. Additional pillows and blankets are available by lifting the chaise portion of the couch.

Please do not feed the seagulls

Feeding seagulls from the balcony is not a smart idea. Once you leave they keep coming back and they destroy the balcony.

They also do not all know where the food came from, so they start going after other guests on nearby balconies.

Induction stove and Keurig

Stove: if the display shows "Lo," it is locked. Hold the lock button on the far right until it beeps, then pick a burner and adjust with plus and minus.

Keurig: if it will not brew, press the lower part of the brew ring instead of the center.

The computer in the unit

It is not available for guest use. A free business center PC is on the first floor: left of the elevators, down the hall to the right of the on-site store.

The building

You are a private guest, not a Flagship guest

This building holds private units like ours, timeshares, and hotel guests. Your stay is as a private guest of ours, not of the Flagship.

That means the front desk is not available to assist you in virtually any way, and they do not have access to the building's housekeeping or facility services on our behalf.

Security is there for your assistance and can help you get back into the room if you lock your key inside or lose it. You must use the name registered on the room with us, and you must let us know first so we can coordinate with security. If you lose the key, replacement is $60.

Amenities and floors
  • Pool, hot tub, and restaurant on the 7th floor. Bring your unit key for pool access; if an attendant hesitates, text us and we will sort it with security.
  • Gym and arcade on the 6th floor.
  • Laundry on the 2nd floor, open 24 hours. Coin-operated, with a change machine and detergent vending on site.
  • Convenience store on the first floor, hours vary. Cedar Market is two blocks away.
Trash and food delivery

Trash: no chute on this floor. Leave tied bags in the hallway; bins are near the elevators at the far end and staff collect regularly.

Delivery: DoorDash and similar work fine. Put your unit number in the delivery notes and meet the driver in the lobby, since drivers cannot come up unescorted.
