Before you leave
- Leave trash in the hallway in tied bags.
- Place soiled towels on the bathroom floor.
- Load and start the dishwasher.
- Toss open food.
- Turn off lights and appliances.
- Sweep the unit for personal belongings.
- Set the AC to 78°F in summer, or heat to 60°F in winter.
- Rinse any beach gear thoroughly before leaving it in the unit.
- Put the key and parking pass on the kitchen counter near the stove.
Hair and sand
Please be mindful of what gets left behind
Two things add real time to a turnover: copious amounts of hair and sand. Excessive hair or sand can trigger an additional cleaning fee.
A quick pass before you go makes all the difference. Gather loose hair from the bathroom and bedding, shake out anything that went to the beach, and keep sandy gear off the furniture and floors.

Photograph the key and parking pass
Take one clear photo of both sitting on the kitchen counter. That photo is your proof of key return and marks your official checkout time, protecting you from the $60 key replacement and $75 parking pass fees.
